Wudhu Guide
Niyyah (Intention)
نَوَيْتُ الْوُضُوءَ لِرَفْعِ الْحَدَثِ اسْتِبَاحَةً لِلصَّلَاةِ
Nawaytul-wudoo'a liraf'il-hadathi istibahatan lissalah
I intend to perform wudhu to lift minor impurity in order to make prayer permissible.
The intention is made in the heart, not spoken aloud. This wording is only a guide to what it means.
What Breaks Wudu
Wudu stays valid until something breaks it: using the toilet (urine, stool, or passing gas), falling asleep lying down, or losing consciousness. Any of these means wudu needs to be performed again before the next prayer. Seminal emission, however, requires a full ghusl, not just wudu.
